Axgro Foods has successfully retained its contract with the Ministry of Defence to supply Coleslaw, Potato Salad, Mexican Bean Salad and Pasta Provencale to our armed forces throughout the world.
This decision was based on our high levels of quality and service, and approval at their recent Food Panel incorporating senior Army, Navy and Air Force personnel.
Sweet thoughts
Another busy Toffee and Chocolate Apple period is over, with nearly 3 million supplied to the major retailers for Halloween and Bonfire Night.
The high tech robotic systems enabled a high level of both volume and quality to be maintained. These were run by our dedicated team of staff whose experience makes it all look so simple! They were supported by a team of additional temporary staff, 20 of whom were from the local area.
Lincolnshire Vegetable Company
Lincolnshire Vegetable Company, which was established by us 3 years ago on South Park Industrial Estate in Scunthorpe, has doubled it’s shifts to meet new business demands supplying traditional roast potatoes into the Food Service Sector for pub groups, hotels and restaurants for the Christmas festivities.
This is in addition to its range of low fat wedges, roasts and jacket potatoes that play such an important part in school menu options as a healthy alternative to deep fried chip products.
Sporting delight
Tennis at Wimbledon and the Ryder Cup golf have both had Axgro Products as part of their Menus. The Orzo Pasta with Roasted Vegetables; Pea Bean and Mint Salad and Pasta, Salmon and Dill were very well received, and we hope to build upon this success in the future.
Local produce across the world
The new season Beetroot has been processed, with significant tonnage coming from local farmers. This is supplied not only to UK Retailers, but also into Holland and Germany where Axgro products have a strong position in supermarket sales. Axgro products have also been seen in a Carrefour supermarket in Bahrain by a local resident whilst on holiday!!
Hall Farm
The continued use of the Hall Farm Storage unit has been approved by North Lincs Council Planning Committee. This will allow the company to extend its use of locally grown produce by increasing its stockholding for supply in the spring to summer periods of 2011.
